Now, it's just up to you to find the method that works best for you. For me, I'm a fan of the 90-degree method. Are there just as many ways to finish a parachute dry fly with hackle as there are to tie in the posts? Probably, yes. Above, Flagler demonstrates a good method for finishing off the hackle for a traditional parachute dry fly. It looks easy, but it will take some practice to really master.
